Looking back at my four month absence reminds me of the wonderful changes in my life. Around the date of my last post, I found out that we were going to be adding to the family. The Professor and I are expecting! We are so excited! This is our first child!!
I’m over four months along now, and am finally (finally) able to sew again. For months, the sight and smell of fabric made me nauseous. I think that it was the very first time in my life that I didn’t want to be sewing. (Believe it or not.) All my grand plans to have gender-neutral baby items sewn during the first 20 weeks have flown out the window. At this point, I’ll be happy to have a few things sewn for the baby. We will find out the gender in less than a month.
This is all to say that I didn’t start sewing again until last weekend. And then of course, I launched into a project that was way over my head.
I’m in the midst of a craft fair this weekend. I have been teaching a doll making class at my local sewing shop for the past six months, and am selling dolls based off the pattern that I developed for the class. I’ve also finally opened up my Etsy shop (a dream that I have had for months!) Here are a few early shots of the craft fair.
I’ll be back soon to make some catch up posts, and to hopefully chat about baby projects.
